Katie visits downtown Seattle!

Today, November 22nd, I went to Pike Place Market and the International District. I took the bus Route 550 from Mercer Island (where I live). I interviewed people from all over the world and all kinds of jobs. Let's see what they said:

"My name is Denise and I am a waitress from China . I want to do my best for the customer, good service."

This is me Katie, and this is what I said at the Shanghai Cafe "I am at the Cafe and am having a delicious lunch. I am eating barley green noodles with chicken and carrots, eggs. Also I'm having broccoli with shrimp and sweet chili sauce. Yummie!"

"My name is Alex and I am a buyer or merchandiser for Uwajimaya. I am from Hong Kong.  I like talking to other people to introduce their products."

"My name is Amy and I am a financial compliance manager at Microsoft. I am from Chicago. I get to work with a lot of people."

This is Katie. I am at Uwajimaya. It is really fun here. It is a Japanese place where Japanese people come to buy things."

"My name is Benjamin. I am a meat jobber. I am from the Phillipines. I like doing everything in my job. I learn many new things."

"My name is Cindy. I am from Seattle. At school I like recess."

This is Katie. I had a yummy cream puff with my Dad. A cream puff is a really yummy kind of bagel except it has a cream filling. I am now going to catch a bus to go to Pike Place market where I will interviewed these people. Let's hear what they have to say:

"My name is Katarina. I am from Germany. I am a Nanny. I like the kids and family that I work with in my job."

"My name is Marissa. I am from Marysville. I like the diversity and arts in Seattle."

"My name is Elizabeth. I am from Oregon.  I like the shopping in Seattle."

"My name is Denise and I am from Portland. I like Pike Street Market in Seattle."

"My name is Tricia and I am from Canada. I like the people and all the fun things you can do in Seattle."

"My name is Blister Thomas. I am a balloon busker. I am from Washington State. I like to make people smile in my job."

"My name is Stacy. I am a newspaper editor. I am from Seattle. I like working with writers."

"My name is Josh. I am a Meat Seller. I am from Santa Cruz, California. I get to help people in my job."

"My name is Nancy. I work for the Catholic Church. I am from Oklahoma. I work with a lot of great people."

"My name is Laura. I am an attorney. I am from Philadelphia. I like the people I work with you."

"My name is Misto the Magician. I am an Entertainer. I am from Seattle. I like little girls like you."

"My name is Laura. I am from Tacoma. I like the way the buildings look against the sky."

"My name is Karen. I am from Seattle. I work at Children's Hospital. I like working with kids."

"My name is Sharon. I am from Victoria, B.C. Canada. I like lots of things in Seattle, shopping, the market. No, I don't like the prices."

"My name is Marina. I am from Argentina. I like the weather and the food in Seattle."

"My name is Jen. I am from the Netherlands. I like the fish in Seattle."

"My name is Anna. I work for Alaska Airlines. I'm from Florida. The best thing I like about my job is traveling a lot."

My interviews, as you can see, have gone very well. Right now I am having pumpkin pie, just for fun. I have a really good job. The people I have interviewed have been from all over. We've had people from China, The Netherlands, Argentina, Germany.
