Katie visits Girl Scout Camp

Hi it's Katie here at my Girl Scout Camp. I met girls in seventh grade. Their names were quarter (Jennifer) and shining rainbow(Evan). They were really nice. The Girl Scout camp was called River Ranch, it was so much fun!!!

Breaking News! Snow on Mercer Island

Katie here reporting from snowy Mercer Island. I love to play in the snow with my neighbors and my brother. These are their names: Maddie, Meghan, Ben, Cassie, and John. The chickens in the coop are our neighbors the Weikers. They are out of town in Florida. My dad skiied and I rode in the sled to feed and water the chickens tonight. My brother Ben you seen in the next picture is holding his sled and it goes really fast. The final picture is of me and my mom.

This is my family, we are having a great time on Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island. We went a hike to a Gold Mine. I found some gold and brought it back. It was fun. I bragged to my brother Ben about it. It was very interesting. Soon there will be a picture on it. By the way, My brother likes pie.

Katie visits downtown Seattle!

Today, November 22nd, I went to Pike Place Market and the International District. I took the bus Route 550 from Mercer Island (where I live). I interviewed people from all over the world and all kinds of jobs. Let's see what they said:

"My name is Denise and I am a waitress from China . I want to do my best for the customer, good service."

This is me Katie, and this is what I said at the Shanghai Cafe "I am at the Cafe and am having a delicious lunch. I am eating barley green noodles with chicken and carrots, eggs. Also I'm having broccoli with shrimp and sweet chili sauce. Yummie!"

"My name is Alex and I am a buyer or merchandiser for Uwajimaya. I am from Hong Kong.  I like talking to other people to introduce their products."

"My name is Amy and I am a financial compliance manager at Microsoft. I am from Chicago. I get to work with a lot of people."

This is Katie. I am at Uwajimaya. It is really fun here. It is a Japanese place where Japanese people come to buy things."

This is Katie. I had a yummy cream puff with my Dad. A cream puff is a really yummy kind of bagel except it has a cream filling. I am now going to catch a bus to go to Pike Place market where I will interviewed these people. Let's hear what they have to say:

My interviews, as you can see, have gone very well. Right now I am having pumpkin pie, just for fun. I have a really good job. The people I have interviewed have been from all over. We've had people from China, The Netherlands, Argentina, Germany.
